About me

About me / About me

For me, photography is both a passion and a haven of peace

Philip Ian Pearce

The English-born artist has been involved in photography since the mid-80s. Equipped with an analogue SLR camera, a passion began that continues unbroken to this day. He uses photography as a means of artistic expression, which gives him the opportunity to reproduce what he sees as an expression of his perception. His photographic focus is artistic photography.

In addition to a well-founded, self-taught training, he gained his photographic knowledge at the Cologne Photo School as well as working with other photographers as there are Prof. Harald Mante, Jürgen Wassmuth and Mark Robertz..

In the winter semester of 2021, Philip Ian Pearce took up a teaching position at the Chair of Digital Arts and Cultural Mediation at the private University of Witten/Herdecke. Since the beginning of the winter semester of 2009, he has been a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Südwestfalen (IfV).
